April 25, 2009
Gallivan Center - Salt Lake City, Utah

The war in northern Uganda has been called the most neglected humanitarian emergency in the world today.

On April 25th, tens of thousands of American citizens abducted themselves to raise the banner for the child soldiers taken by Joseph Kony.

They are demanding that governments and international bodies develop a strategy and support existing efforts to rescue Kony's child soldiers.

High Road for Human Rights Executive Director Rocky Anderson participated and spoke at the event.

In the middle of our new administration's first 100 days, Power Shift 09 brought 10,000 young people to Washington to hold our elected officials accountable for rebuilding our economy and reclaiming our future through bold climate and clean energy policy.

From February 27th to March 2nd, 2009 young people from across the country converged on Washington D.C. to take a message of bold, comprehensive and immediate federal climate action to Capitol Hill.
